Markbass launches video contest

Bass amp manufacturer Markbass just launched a video contest on Youtube. If you own a Markbass rig and perform live, you’re pretty much eligible to enter for a chance to win a MoMark amp with the features of your choice.

Official rules from Markbass:

Video must be of a live performance. In other words, in front of an audience. The bigger and more enthusiastic the audience, the better!

You must be the one performing bass in the video.

A Markbass rig must be visible on stage, and must include either a Markbass head and cabinets, or a Markbass combo. Rigs that include a non-Markbass cabinet or head will not be considered eligible.

You will be judged on the quality of the musical performance, the quality and sound of the video, the energy of the audience, and the visibility of the rig.

The video must be at least 3 minutes long.

You must include the words “Markbass Contest” in your video tags

Markbass endorsers, staff, distributors and retailers (or their employees) are not eligible to win. Anyone else is eligible.

Contest begins April 1, 2009. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2009.

Upload your video to YouTube

Be sure to tag the video “Markbass Contest”

Enter as many videos as you’d like

The winner will be chosen on October 2, 2009. Markbass staffers will check the top 10 search results for “Markbass Contest” based on view counts and viewer ratings.

One of the top finalists from the list will be selected by Markbass staff and artists and notified by email via their Youtube account. The winner will be featured on Markbass’s web site and publications.
