Les Claypool, Danny Carey, Bill Kelliher, Claudio Sanchez, Steve Brodsky: Anthem
Primus may have had to push out their Rush tribute tour, but Les Claypool is still paying homage to Geddy Lee and crew. In this amazing video, he teamed up with Claudio Sanchez (Coheed and Cambria), Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), Danny Carey (Tool), Jordan Olds (Gwarsenio Hall), and Steve Brodsky (Mutoid Man) to cover “Anthem”.
Claypool busted out his Rickenbacker to get the growly tones for the song, which originally appeared on Rush’s 1975 album Fly By Night. The video was made for Two Minutes To Late Night, who shared that “In lieu of taking money for this cover, all of the artists who participated will be donating their fees for this video to The Cancer Research Institute.”
Now get ready to rock.
