Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna Partner Up With Wolfgang’s Vault
If you love Jack Casady, then you’ll be happy to know that Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, and Hot Tuna have made a partnership with Wolfgang’s Vault, the world’s largest archive dedicated to live music spanning the last five decades.
The site contains exclusive free streaming concert recordings and downloads for purchase, including Jefferson Airplane playing the opening of the Fillmore Auditorium, on February 4, 5, and 6 in 1966. It also has vintage memorabilia for sale, ranging from backstage passes to Casady’s fine art prints.
Jack Casady’s Hot Tuna partner Jorma Kaukonen said, “These recordings are like a window into a time long gone and vaguely remembered. I hear them and I find myself saying, ‘We were pretty good!’ I’m glad somebody saved them for posterity.”
