Ampeg Announces 2012 Run of Limited Edition Heritage B-15 Amps
Last year, Ampeg paid their respects to their legendary B-15 flip-top combo with a special run of 50 hand-built and hand-wired units. This year, they’ve announced a second run of 100 units.
The new Heritage B-15 features the circuit paths of both the 1964 and 1966 models, including the classic Baxandall EQ controls. That, matched with premium 6SL7 octal preamp tubes with a bias switch, allows for recreating each years’ distinct bias methodology, Ampeg says.
The cabinet features a double baffle design and houses the combo’s 15″ Eminence driver.
The 2012 run of Ampeg Heritage B-15 combos is limited to 100 units, expected to be available worldwide in June. For more, visit the Ampeg website.

Why don’t they just mass produce the Heritage B-15 Amps?
Well, if they continue to just do a limited run of 100 each year, it lets them keep the price up at 3 grand…..
I want one !!!
Wayne you should check out the ashdown dp 200
I used a ’66 B-15 in the studio a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also have my Amplitube SVX set to automatically load the B-15. I don’t know that I would ever tour with one of these, but… ‘Legendary’ just got a second circuit path better!
how much do the ampegs cost.
Hey Kenny, the Heritage B-15 has a street price of around $3,999.99.
Ampeg, worth every penny!
This must be another misunderstanding. The Ampeg-site say”100 Heritage Reverbrockets R 12 R”. No word about a new limited run of some B-15 at all….
Hey Uwe, They haven’t updated their site but they put out a press release about it at NAMM.
