ACS, Featuring Esperanza Spalding, Announce Fall Tour
Pianist Geri Allen, drummer Terri Lynne Carrington, and bassist Esperanza Spalding have announced a fall tour, including fourteen North American dates and nine European dates.
The jazz trio will kick things off in Fairfield, Connecticut at the Quick Center for the Arts before taking the music west. The European leg includes performances in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the UK.
The band, billed as ACS, was formed out of their work together on Carrington’s 2011 album The Mosaic Project, which featured an all-female personnel and won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
