TC Electronic BG250 Series Combo Bass Amps

TC Electronic has expanded their BG250 combo from a single 1×15 model to an entire series of bass amps featuring three new speaker configurations: 2×10, 1×12, and 2×8. Each of the 250-watt combos features dual TonePrint onboard effects, intelligent Tone Shaping controls, a built-in tuner, a direct output, and rehearsal inputs.
The effect on each of the TonePrint controls can be changed to any of the available TC effects via USB or by using a free smartphone app. An optional 3-switch footswitch allows for activating the effects or the mute function. The EQ section is tailored to cut and boost at different frequencies. Its bass control cuts at 70Hz while boosting at 90Hz, the mid control cuts at 500Hz while boosting at 800Hz, and the treble control cuts at 1.8kHz while boosting at 2.24kHz.

  1. Is it me or TC Electronics Still does not understand that mik’ing the cabs would help us listening to the different colors between their 2×10, 1×12 and 1×15 ? All the clips sounds axactly the same to me…. on the other hand price is cool, built in China of course but still, it’s a cool price !

  2. I had a chance to play these at Guitar Center and WOW! These combos are outstanding!!! I wish they were around when I was beginning to play bass. The videos don’t do much justice as micing the cabs would have helped distinguish and notice the different characteristics as others mentioned. If they made a hybrid of this head and the RH450 with more watts (500+ watts) I would seriously consider buying. Also a 15″ cabinet would be nice in the BC series or the RH series.

  3. Rehearsal Input – Playback through Speaker or Headphones- what or how does this feature exactly work?
