LedBelli Bass Guitars Introduces Jonah “Thin Wing” Bass

LedBelli Bass Guitars Jonah -Thin Wing-

Bass luthier Cleve Johnson has introduced a new model to his lineup from LedBelli Bass Guitars called the Jonah “Thin Wing.” The bass is a variation on LedBelli’s flagship Jonah with extra shaping for a slimmer profile.

“The ‘wings’ of the bass are heavily contoured and thin, thus the ‘thin-wing’ designation,” Johnson explains. “The thickest section of the body is also 1/4” thinner than a standard solid body bass. This bass weighs barely 9 pounds whereas most 5-string basses weigh in above 10 pounds.”

The Jonah “Thin Wing” features an ash body with a stunning black ceruse finish and a seven piece bolt-on neck made of laminated curly maple and purpleheart. Its ebony fretboard is adorned with mother of pearl and blue pau abalone block inlays.

For electronics, the bass is fitted with a pair of Nordstrand Split Single Coil pickups matched to a customized Nordstrand 3B-5B preamp. The 3B-5B has both active and passive modes with a push/pull volume knob, blend, passive tone, mid, treble, and bass controls. The mid frequency also toggles between 1kHz and 400kHz via a push/pull knob. The knobs are made by D-Cline Design to match the bass’s black ceruse finish.

The LedBelli Bass Guitars Jonah “Thin Wing” is available for order and can be built with several options with varying price points.
