Fender Adds Options to Mod Shop Instruments
Fender’s online Mod Shop has expanded their set of options for 2017 with new colors, a new neck profile, and new pickups. Users can pick a model to begin with (Jazz and Precision for bassists), then choose colors, hardware, woods, and more. The instruments are built in Fender’s Corona, California factory and shipped out within 30 days.
Starting this spring, the company will be offering three new body colors – Desert Sand, Natural, and Amber – and two pickguard colors: Green Pearl and Brown Anodized. Bassists will be able to pick a ’74 Jazz Bass neck as well as ’74 Jazz Bass pickups. An option for the whole series is an exclusive Mod Shop “C-to-D”-shaped neck with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard.
More options will be available this summer including Aged Cherry Sunburst, Skyburst Metallic, and Ocean Turquoise colors. Fender Mod Shop Basses are available for order now starting at $1,749.99.
