Collision Devices Launches with the Black Hole Symmetry Pedal

Collision Devices Black Hole Symmetry Pedal

Collision Devices is a new boutique pedal company out of France. They’re launching their brand with their first pedal called the Black Hole Symmetry, which they call a “Modulation Delay/Space Reverb/Destruction Fuzz” designed to represent the visual and sonic appearance of a black hole.

The pedal is divided into three sections. The Ergosphere is the modulation delay section and has controls for Mix, Time, Feedback, Modulation, and Speed. It can be bypassed with a switch, as well. The Event Horizon, or space reverb, is also bypass-able with knobs for Mix, Echo, Radiancy, and Pitch. Finally, the Singularity fuzz section has an activation switch and a disintegrate control.

The Collision Devices Black Hole Symmetry will be shipping in this month with a street price of $295.

As usual I had to go hunt down the demo myself…and…I can’t imagine using this with bass. The demo (yes with guitar but still) is just … weird. I guess if I played in some kind of cartoon metal band maybe but while the sounds are pretty high quality they just don’t seem that useful, especially for bass.
