Warwick has stepped into the world of micro amps with the Gnome series of pocket-sized bass amplifiers. The lineup includes three models – the Gnome, Gnome i, and Gnome i Pro – that step up features.
2. Fender Unveils 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass
It’s been six decades since Fender first introduced the Jazz Bass, and now they’re celebrating with a special 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass model. The limited-edition bass replicates the original design of the Jazz.
3. PHD Bass Guitars Introduces Ergonomic Lightweight Bass (ELB)
PHD Bass Guitars has unveiled a new model to their lineup called the ELB, or Ergonomic Lightweight Bass. The instrument was designed by luthier Parizad Hatcher to include several unique features that benefit playability as well as health.
4. Ernie Ball Music Man Unveils Artist Series John Myung Bongo 6 HH
Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled a new model in their Artist Series with the John Myung Bongo 6 HH. The Dream Theater bassist collaborated with the company on his new signature axe to make it his own.
5. Sandberg Guitars Upgrades the Electra Series Basses
Sandberg Guitars has updated its Electra series of basses for 2020 with a hardware upgrade and a new color option. The line includes the VS and TT models, each of which is four-string basses.
6. Fender Announces Roasted Maple Vintera ’50s Precision Bass Neck
Fender introduced the vintage-styled Vintera series last year to pay homage to the instruments from their first three decades as a company. Now they’re offering roasted necks from the series as a separate component.
7. Ibanez Introduces SR1100B and SR1105B Basses
Ibanez has added a new set of basses to their Soundgear line with the SR1100B and SR1105B. The instruments are four- and five-string versions of the same design and come in Sea Foam Green and Pearl White Matte finishes.
8. Serek Basses Unveils The Grand
Serek Basses has unveiled a brand new bass model called The Grand. Fit with a short-scale neck and funky body shape, the instrument also has a brand new set of electronics called the Serek “Skuzz Serkit,” which is an on-board passive fuzz circuit.
9. Dean Guitars Introduces Newly Designed Edge Select Bass
Dean Guitars has released a redesigned version of their Edge bass in the Select series. The Edge Select Burled Poplar Satin Natural bass is built with a mahogany body, figured poplar burl top, and a walnut center.
10. Fender Announces the Trapper Bass Distortion Pedal
Last year marked the first-ever bass-specific pedal from Fender, and now they’ve revealed another for later this year. The Trapper Bass Distortion is a modified version of their Trapper that features two distortion circuits.
