Stanley Clarke and Gregory Hines: Arsenio Hall Show Performance

Stanley Clarke is another legend that definitely deserves his flowers now. In this classic clip from 1989, Stanley is seen here with Gregory Hines, on the Arsenio Hall Show. Performing a number from the 1988 album, If This Bass Could Only Talk, Stanley and Gregory take us on a journey like no other.

Starting off with a blues jam, we see their excellent chemistry in full swing. Then, they go into the album cut, “Bassically Taps”.

While many of us have heard the album version, this live performance has great energy! Did anyone catch this live in 1989? Let us know in the comments!
