Last month, Fieldy announced he would be sitting out of Korn’s upcoming tour to focus on taking care of himself. Now the band has revealed the identity of the bassist that will fill his shoes for the gigs.
5. Eastwood Announces the Valco KGB Fuzz Pedal
Eastwood has added to their Valco line of pedals with the KGB Fuzz, which they describe as a multi-function tone-sculpting fuzz machine. It gets its name from being designed to work with Keyboards, Guitar, or Bass.
6. Bass of the Week: Meridian Guitars J-24
This week we’re checking out a Meridian Guitars J-24 with an ash body and natural finish to let the wood grain speak for itself. The five-stringer’s neck is made from maple that was cut in 1986, which is then topped with a phenolic resin fretboard.
7. Cort Introduces the Artisan C5 Plus OVMH and C4 Plus OVMH Basses
Cort is upgrading their Artisan series again this year with the introduction of the Artisan C5 Plus OVMH and C4 Plus OVMH. The new basses build on the lineup with a rounder body shape and more.
8. Dave Mustaine Says Bass Tracking Is Done for Next Megadeth Album
Tracking for the new Megadeth album has been completed, though we still don’t know by whom. Frontman Dave Mustaine has confirmed that recently removed bassist David Ellefson’s parts have been re-recorded by an unnamed musician.

10. TWA Revamps the Triskelion Harmonic Energizer Pedal
TWA has updated the Triskelion Harmonic Energizer pedal for 2021 to include a slimmed down profile and more versatility. The unit, which is a recreation of the 70s-era Systech Harmonic Energizer, marks the third iteration of the pedal.
