Cliff Burton Biography Gets Expanded Third Edition
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Metallica’s debut studio album, Kill ‘Em All. To coincide with the event, Joel McIver’s definitive biography of bassist Cliff Burton is getting a new edition.
To Live Is To Die: The Life & Death of Metallica’s Cliff Burton has been expanded with a whole new chapter examining the influential bassist’s legacy with perspectives from current Metallica member Robert Trujillo and actor/bassist Jason Momoa. McIver, who is the former editor for Bass Player Magazine, also includes an account of the opening of the Cliff Burton Museum in Ljungby, Sweden, at which he gave a speech.
Additionally, the foreword by Kirk Hammett and an afterword by Frank Bello are now joined by a new preface by Testament bassist Steve DiGiorgio.
The revised third edition of To Live Is To Die is available now on Kindle. The paperback edition is out now in the UK and will be shipping May 16th in the U.S.
