Stir It Up: Easy Reggae Bass Lesson

In this lesson, we honor the great Aston “Family Man” Barrett and learn the bass line to Bob Marley’s classic, “Stir It Up.”

This song is a perfect introduction to reggae bass playing and great for spying theory concepts, particularly major triads. Begin with the basic notes and then feel free to throw in dead notes, slides, and improvised moves!
