Ashdown’s New Studio-4 Bass Amp: A Battery-Powered Practice Rig for Bassists on the Go

Ashdown has built some mammoth amps through the years, but at the NAMM Show, they revealed the Studio-4, a battery-powered compact 3-watt bass combo amp. The miniature rig is designed for practicing and jamming whenever inspiration strikes.
The Studio-4 features a single four-inch driver that, Ashdown says, provides “rich, resonant low-end tones that punch well above its size.” Its simple control layout has Gain, Volume, and a three-band EQ. However, it has plenty of handy features, including built-in Bluetooth for streaming tracks, a headphone output, a Line-in, and an extension output for connection to a larger cabinet when more volume is required.
The Ashdown Studio-4 weighs in at just 2.2 pounds. It carries a street price of $75.
