Tim Lefebvre’s Bass Groove Shines on Scary Pockets’ “Runnin”

Scary Pockets are back with another groove heavy gem, and this time they are joined by the unstoppable Judith Hill on “Runnin”.

The vibe is pure fun from the first note. Organ and clavinet set the tone, the rhythm section locks in tight, and Judith absolutely owns it. She is singing like she means every word, riding the groove with power and soul. It is upbeat, joyful, and impossible not to move to.

On bass, Tim Lefebvre is laying it down with serious feel. He appears to be playing a vintage Fender Precision, and the tone is thick and warm in all the right ways.  Tim stays deep in the pocket, adding subtle movement and melodic touches that keep things interesting.

This one is all about groove, feel, and joy. Turn it up and let it ride.
