After discontinuing a similar model two years ago, Epiphone has reissued the Embassy bass. The design retains the asymmetrical solid mahogany double-cutaway body design found on the original 1963 version.

Double-neck guitarist Felix Martin has been broadened the range of his instrument company, FM Guitars, with a new line of basses. The company now offers 8, 10, and 12-string basses.

Ibanez has unveiled their annual limited edition run of SR Premium basses, which they describe as “built to be noticed.” The four-string SR4CMLTD and five-string SR5CMLTD are built with multi-piece bodies of alternating ash and figured maple.

Sadowsky Guitars has unveiled four new limited edition models for 2021 with two in the MetroLine series and two Masterbuilt instruments. All of the instruments are built in Germany.

2021 marks the 90th anniversary of Rickenbacker Guitars, who have just revealed limited edition guitar and bass models to mark the occasion. While details are still slim, the bass model is called the 4005XC and has some serious retro appeal.

Sandberg Guitars is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year with a limited edition version of the California Supreme. The bass is described as the “boutique bass flagship of Braunschweig’s creative forge.”

Ibanez has expanded their SR line of basses with the SR600E Series, which includes four-string, five-string, and six-string versions. The new models are crafted with an ash body, jatoba and walnut neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.

Every year at the NAMM Show, Warwick reveals their annual limited edition masterbuilt and team-built basses. This year’s NAMM Show was virtual, but that didn’t stop them from going all out. This year they focused on the Streamer design.

While no new basses have been revealed so far, Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled a plethora of dazzling new finishes for their basses. That includes the Music Man line as well as the entry-level Sterling by Music Man line.

Guild has unveiled their new offerings for 2021 and it includes a modern adaptation of the Starfire I Bass. With an attainable price point of $599, the bass looks to be a great option for fans of hollowbody designs.

Fodera has refreshed their Standard line of basses for 2021 with revamped versions of Yin Yang Standard as well as the Monarch 4, Emperor 5, and Emperor 6 Standards.

Jackson Guitars has expanded their bass lineup with the Pro Series Spectra series, which includes four and five-string basses. Each model sports the Spectra body shape with enhanced features.
