The supergroup power trio Revolution Saints has returned with a third album, called “Rise.” The band features Deen Castronovo, Doug Aldrich , and Jack Blades crafting new songs in the classic melodic rock style for which they are known.

John Ferrara has been releasing music with Consider The Source for years, and for the past few years, he’s been crafting mind-boggling solo bass cover songs and originals. Now, Ferrara has unleashed his first solo album, “A Harmony of Opposites.”

Bassist Ida Nielsen may be known for her in-your-face funk, but she’s taking another direction on her new album, “02022020.” The release was inspired by the date February 2, 2020, and it’s numerical values.

The Wood Brothers have returned with their 8th studio album, “Kingdom In My Mind.” Guitarist Oliver Wood and bassist Chris Wood are joined once again by multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix to deliver an album of buoyant grooves and deep lyrics.

Karl Clews has released “Dissident,” a new album of original music created almost entirely on his four-string bass. Clews has made several solo bass covers over the years, but his use of the style for his own music is a recent development.

Metal bass legend Steve Harris has released a new album with his band British Lion called “The Burning.” It’s the second release from the group, which keeps Harris busy when he’s not on the road with Iron Maiden.

Though he’s known for leading the Marcus King Band, Marcus King has released his first solo album. “El Dorado” was produced with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, who performed many of the instruments, as well as seasoned Nashville ace Dave Roe.

The virtuoso group Sons of Apollo has returned with “MMXX,” which marks their second studio album. The band has the incredible lineup of Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Jeff Scott, and Billy Sheehan.

Mac Miller tragically passed away in 2018, but we’re now getting to hear what he was working on before his death. “Circles” is the first posthumous release of Miller’s work. Dywane “MonoNeon” Thomas, Jr. played on one track and shares the story.

Drummer Dave Pope has released his debut album, “You and the Night and the Music.” The trio record includes John Patitucci on bass and Pope's brother (and bassist/preamp designer) Mike on piano!

Incubus bassist Ben Kenney has released his sixth solo album, “Must Be Nice.” The record features seven original compositions with Kenney performing all of the instruments and vocals.

Hawktail has released their second album, called “Formations.” The all-instrumental acoustic band includes bassist Paul Kowert, who also plays for The Punch Brothers.
