The Fearless Flyers have just announced they’re releasing a new album, “The Fearless Flyers III”. Here’s the first track, “Patrol Acrobatique”, with Joe Dart, Cory Wong, Nate Smith, and Mark Lettieri laying down the funk.

Gabriel Severn just sent us a video he created along with Federico Malaman, Nick Campbell, Moto Fukushima, and Noah Denton (with some help from Israel Strom on keys). It is short, but it is sweet.

B2Men is a band formed by guitarist Peck László and bassist Viktor Lorincz. In this new video by the duo, Viktor plays a U-Bass and adds backing vocals on “Born to Be Blue”.

Pete O’Neill recently covered “Cello Strings on a Bass Sound Unbelievable“, a song by Charles Berthoud. Pete sent us a new video tutorial for the song - based on a lot of requests - with the notation and tab.

I love seeing collaboration between bassists, especially with players of this caliber. Manou Gallo, aka the Queen of Afro Groove, recruited jazz icon Christian McBride to lay some foundation for her latest song, “Emotion.”

Here’s another fantastic lesson video by Federico Malaman. In this one, he takes two lines from “Donna Lee” and uses them to construct new bass lines. He calls it the "Stolen Bass Line lesson".
