Christian Fabian has been helping to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Marleaux Bass Guitars with a series of videos using their Contra model. For the effort, he put together a trio featuring organist Ron Oswanski and drum legend Bernard Purdie.

Tim Lefebvre shared this clip of his last performance in Europe before he had to leave for the States earlier this month. “Don’t Be Scared” begins with a free jam including otherworldly sounds from Lefebvre. They then kick in to a groove and build in intensity.

Nenad Vasilic has released a new video to accompany the beautiful song “Ti bi hteo pesmom da ti kazem” from his latest album, “Bass Room.” The song is a Serbian ballad of unrequited love.

A few days ago, Jambase shared this video of Prince performing at The Aladdin in Las Vegas. In this clip, Prince and his band - which includes Rhonda Smith on bass (and backing vocals) - perform the Led Zeppelin hit “Whole Lotta Love.”

Federico Malaman always knocks us out with his videos. In this clip, he doubles up to perform a stunning cover of the Ney Conceição tune “Resposta.”

We’re all dealing with the pandemic lockdowns in different ways, and thankfully that’s creating a lot of great music. Shane Cooper sent us his latest video for “Learn To Levitate,” which features some awesome electric bass work amid an ambient groove.

Leland Sklar is making the most of this time of social distancing and giving back to the bass playing community. In this video, the bass legend shows us the bass line on the Phil Collins tune, “Against All Odds.”
