I’ve been hoping Vulfpeck would release the video for “Disco Ulysses”, and they did just that. The track is one of my favorites on their album, “Hill Climber,” and another great showcase for the grooves and moves by Joe Dart.

Tal Wilkenfeld is currently on tour in support of her new album, “Love Remains.” Here’s a live performance of “Counterfeit,” the album’s second track.

Geezer Butler’s new project Deadland Ritual has just released their first music video for a new song called “Broken and Bruised.” The Black Sabbath bassist’s musical stamp is evident and his snarling bass ties the track together.

During the 2016 British Summer Time Hyde Park festival, Stevie Wonder got the crowd going with this performance of “I Wish.” Nate Watts drives the tune with precision while throwing in some tasty fills along the way.

Cody Wright recently shared this phenomenal cover of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly” he recorded with Philip Lassiter, on trumpet and Josephine Rojer on vocals. I love how baby Arrow is digging it.

I can’t believe I missed this video until now. Released in November 2017, here’s “Partly Sunny,” which is described as “a humble documentary of the late great bassist Victor Bailey.” What a tribute to one of the greats in bass history.

Ever since the release “The Gleaners,” I’ve seen Larry Grenadier’s playing in a new light. The jazz bassist spent a year exploring the instrument and its possibilities before recording. I keep coming back to the opening track, “Oceanic,” which creates an indescribable atmosphere.

MonoNeon shared this epic clip on Facebook, with a performance he did with drummer Larnell Lewis and Ghost-Note for Zildjian LIVE! “Change Your Mind” is a funky tune, and MonoNeon causes the sax player to have bass face in this one!

Once again, bassist Panagiotis Andreou has shared a video with us that is absolutely mesmerizing. The Greek-born bassist is known for his abilities in multiple styles from around the world, but he went back to his roots for this arrangement with Now vs Now.

Doug Berns sent us this video of his excellent all-bass cover of Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose.” Doug shared: “Colored it up with some chorus, reverb and a light octave. Beautiful melody, gorgeous tune!!”

Paul Gilbert’s “Behold Electric Guitar” was released earlier this month, and from what I’ve heard so far, it is fantastic – and pretty unexpected. Here’s the clip for the track “Blues For Rabbit,” with bassist Roland Guerin laying it down.
