The Winery Dogs released their debut album back in 2013 and followed it with a tour. During that tour, they recorded a show for a live DVD, Unleashed in Japan. Here’s the band performing “You Saved Me”, with one very cool intro – and outro – by Billy Sheehan.

Double bassist Nenad Vasilic is back with a new cover video of Deep Purple’s “Burn.” While the whole arrangement is acoustic, check out his innovative method for getting “distortion” to match the ’70s rock vibe.

During the 2014 Tbilisi Jazz Festival, Stanley Clarke took the stage with pianist Beka Gochiashvili and performed this killer version of “Brazilian Love Affair”. The tune was written by one of Clarke’s longtime collaborators, George Duke, who passed away in 2013.

Bass Battle has taken his looping sessions to a whole new level. The bassist, aka Bogdan Diaconeasa, sent us his latest looping session, which features his already stellar playing fleshed out with ambient effects and a backbeat. The connection between a bassist and a drummer is a special thing. Here’s a great example of that bond with Cody Wright tearing it up with Chaisaray Schenk on a drum and bass groove. Wright kicks things off with a killer bass riff that Schenk immediately syncs up with to form a tight pocket.
