Elvis (and One Great Rhythm Section): See See Rider

Wow, this is one smokin’ performance by Elvis and his awesome rhythm section: bassist Jerry Scheff, rhythm guitarist John Wilkinson and drummer Ronnie Tutt.

The tune is Chuck Willis’s “CC Rider” (or as Elvis titled it, “See See Rider”), performed in 1972 for the Elvis on Tour release. Enjoy!

That’s better, Jerry’s P-bass sounds much better!!! Great version of CC Rider! Thanks!

  2. Elvis On Tour is painful to watch. He’s over the cliff and on his way down. Elvis: That’s The Way It Is is much much better.

    • I disagree, Elvis was still on top of his game with Elvis on Tour. The gradual decline started happening after the Aloha from Hawaii concert but, the man still gave a great performance until the end !
