Slipknot’s Paul Gray Joins Metal Supergroup HAIL!

Paul GraySlipknot bassist Paul Gray will be filling in on bass with metal supergroup HAIL! on their upcoming European and Asian tour dates. The slot opened up after David Ellefson returned to Megadeth.

Ellefson approves of his replacement.

“I’ve known Paul for a long time and he’s just a great guy. Slipknot is huge and they have had an enormous impact in carrying on the metal tradition to the newer generation. I’m thrilled for Paul and I’m glad that he will now have this opportunity to share in the HAIL! fun.”

Gray contacted guitarist Andreas Kisser after he heard of Ellefson’s departure, and soon thereafter “everything fell into place. These guys have been through it all and they represent true metal brotherhood,” said Gray. “I like that and I’m glad to now be a part of it. I can’t wait, I wish we’d leave tomorrow.”

For the upcoming tour, HAIL! will consist of Tim “Ripper” Owens’ vocals, Andreas Kisser on guitar, and Paul Bostaph on drums.
