Schecter and Guitar Center Team Up for the SC-6 Six-String Bass

Schecter SC6 Bass

Guitar Center has partnered with Schecter to introduce a new six-string bass available exclusively at the instrument retailer. The Schecter SC-6 is described as being built for the modern bassist and designed for both the studio and the stage.

The SC-6 is built with a nyatoh body topped with flamed maple in a natural satin finish. Its hard rock maple neck, which sports a walnut stripe, is fitted with a rosewood fretboard holding 24 X-jumbo frets. Schecter gives the fretboard a compound radius for comfort and playability across the entire range of the neck.

“At its core are Schecter Diamond 6ST Active Bass Pickups paired with a powerful 18V active 3-band EQ, offering wide tonal sculpting options that cut through any mix—ideal for styles ranging from jazz and fusion to progressive rock and metal,” the company writes.

Other features include a 35-inch scale and a Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut. The Schecter SC-6 is available exclusively from Guitar Center for $799.99.

  1. I’ve played Schecter basses before and their last Diamond series 6 string played well and sounded bright with the EMZ pickups. This version looks like the bridge is updated. The price point is excellent. I bought my Conklin Groove tools 7 string for $900 at Guitar center. Bravo!
