Behringer Introduces the Meatball Envelope Filter With Expression Control and Effects Loop

Behringer Meatball

Behringer has unveiled the Meatball, an envelope filter that recreates the boutique Lovetone Meatball pedal of the ’90s. The original was built by hand in small batches, and its rarity has ballooned its aftermarket price to nearly $1,000. The Behringer version brings the creative pedal’s price point to just $119.

“To describe MEATBALL as an envelope filter would not nearly describe what this pedal can actually do,” Behringer writes. “It delivers expressive envelope sweeps, autowah-style movement, and a wide range of other sounds that have to be heard to be understood.”

The fully analog pedal has a whopping ten control parameters for dialing in funky wah tones. The rear panel has plenty of connectivity with two expression pedal inputs for controlling decay and sensitivity on the fly. The Meatball also has own effects loop for creative routing.

I’m happy they are redoing pedals and keys and whatever. People took music equipment into the classic car market. Tell someone it’s rare or vintage and you caught a yuppie sucker at any price.
What the unsuspecting yuppie suckers don’t realize is electronic stuff degrades. It will need caps, pots, etc. so now you have a $30 pedal you just paid $300 for {because you are a yuppie sucker with daddy’s CC} and it will need another $300 in work. And all you accomplished is driving the used junk market into the stratosphere. Great job yippee suckers, great and I really mean great job 🟠🟧🔽⏬◀️⏪⏮️📴
