3Leaf Audio Announces Little Black Box EQ Pedal
Seattle-based effects company 3Leaf Audio has unveiled their latest offering called the Little Black Box. The pedal is an EQ/clean boost circuit that builder Spencer Doren says is designed to “add sizzle to your tone”.
The Little Black Box’s EQ section has bass and treble boost controls with a mini-switch to toggle the affected treble frequency. The switch has two frequency points: one higher frequency to add an “airy crispness” to your tone and a second lower point that acts more like a traditional treble control.
3Leaf houses the effect in a blackened steel finished chassis. “[The finish is] a chemical process normally reserved for high-end architecture and never before used on audio equipment,” Doren explains. “Due to the hand-applied nature of the finish, each unit has a unique oxidation pattern.”
The 3Leaf Audio Little Black Box is limited to 99 units and will be shipping this month, with a price of $159.
