Bassists looking for that old school thump have a new option with the Bass Mute Clamp. The aptly named device clamps to your bass strings and can be adjusted to vary the amount of muting.

Does it affect tuning?
It has very little effect on tuning as it uses a very soft foam.

Guys, this is just a piece of foam and velcro. Its a great idea but seriously overpeiced. You can make your own for a couple of bucks. In fact you can make one for every guitar you have for a couple of bucks. I would gladly pay 5 bucks for this.
