Meris Unveils the Enzo Multi-Voice Instrument Synthesizer Pedal
Meris has unveiled the Enzo, a multi-voice instrument synthesizer with four synth modes: mono for single lines, arp for arpeggiated sounds, poly for chords, and dry for disabling the synth. Each of these can be sculpted and dialed in with a deep set of knobs with alternate functions.
Pitch changes the pitch of the Synth or Dry signal and has an alternate Portamento function for letting your pitches glide from one to the next. Filter changes the cutoff frequency of the filter and has an alternate function to select between six filter types: Ladder lowpass, ladder shelving bandpass, ladder highpass, state variable lowpass, state variable bandpass, and state variable highpass. Of course, mix blends the clean and dirty signals, but its alternate function sets the delay level.
The Sustain knob can also set the ring modulation, the Modulation knob also sets the delay feedback, and the Filter Envelope knob also changes the filter bandwidth. All of the alternate functions are accessed by holding the Alt button above the tap footswitch, which itself can be set to change the filter envelope type. Even the bypass switch can be used to change the synth waveshape from sawtooth to square.
That’s a lot to take in. You can get even more in-depth and hear some bass demos from Juan Alderete in this review from PedalsandEffects.com:
The Meris Enzo is available now for $299.
