Line 6 Introduces the HX Stomp Multi-Effects Processor
Line 6 has unveiled the Step Beyond HX Stomp, a multi-effects processor for guitar and bass that models the sounds of their Helix amps, cabs, and effects in one pedal. It utilizes the same technology as their Helix processor, which allows the unit to run up to six processing blocks at once.
“HX Stomp is a programmable amp/cab/effects/IR pedal that seamlessly integrates into a variety of environments and applications. Use it as a ‘super stompbox,’ a backup or fly rig, an add-on tone expander when combined with other modelers, an audio interface—or even a complete guitar or bass rig,” Line 6 writes.
The HX Stomp has over 300 amps, cabs, and effects as well as a looper built in. This includes bass-specific presets with individual bass amp and cabinet models. “From Stunning models of Acoustic 360 and Ampeg SVT heads to Mesa/Boogie Powerhouse and Sunn Coliseum cabs to effects such as the Musitronics Mu-Tron II and the Darkglass B7K Ultra – HX Stomp covers the bottom end,” they explain. “And this is flexible low end: Send your effected direct signal to the house while feeding a real amp, or create two entirely different signal paths for a dreamy bass tone that will still rattle the rafters.”
The Line 6 HX Stomp is expected to ship this month with a street price of $599.99.
