You probably already know “Steal My Kisses” by Ben Harper, and the excellent bass line by Juan Nelson. In today’s “Talking Technique” lesson, Ari breaks this down with a focus on “Tenths” over I vi IV V pattern.

In this clip, violinist and bassist Jaylon Black performs his tune, “Bass Heavy,” with Justin Peterson on bass duties while Jaylon is on violin. At one point, Jaylon puts down the violin to take a sweet bass solo that gets the band moving.
