Bass Transcription: Bass Arrangement of Victor Jara’s “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz”

In the last few weeks, my country Chile has awakened from a long wait of 30 years – 30 years waiting for better education, better health system, and better pensions. The people have taken to the streets claiming their rights, and in the last protest, there were over a million people wishing for a better Chile.

In all the protests, the song that everyone sings is “The Right to Live in Peace,” a hymn composed by vocalist Víctor Jara, who was murdered in the Pinochet dictatorship. Today, after 45 years, it is still a song that unites all Chileans.
