Sonic Nuance Updates Tuner + DI Pedal for 2020
Sonic Nuance has once again updated its flagship direct box. The third version of the TDI (tuner DI) is 30 percent smaller, lighter, more durable, and quieter, the company says.
The TDI can be powered by an AC adapter or via XLR thanks to 48V phantom power, which can be used even when the ground is lifted. “[It uses] costly high quality, wide dynamic range, low noise and low distortion opamp-based buffers for transparency,” the company writes. “EMRS (electromagnetic relay soft switching) technology for the ultimate in reliability (relay rated at over 10 million cycles) and sound quality.”
Other features include an independently buffered 1/4-inch output, a tuning mode that mutes outputs, a bright LED display, and more. Watch this overview by Sean Fairchild to get more:
