What Guitar Players Need To Know About Playing Bass

Now, I’m sure plenty of you picked up the bass after dabbling in other instruments. Whenever we do that, we intuitively bring a few old habits or ways of thinking to this instrument. If we come from playing drums, maybe we automatically pay more attention to kick drum patterns. If we come from playing guitar, perhaps we already have some fretboard knowledge.

That said, this lesson features a couple of key points that guitar players need to focus on when picking up a bass. Yes, the fretboard looks the same, but the technique is very different.
