Maxon has announced a new limited edition pedal called the OD808-40 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their original OD808 overdrive. It was originally created by former Maxon engineer Susumu Tamura in Japan.

Electro-Harmonix is now shipping the Switchblade Pro, a pedal for switching that has features including true mechanical bypass, soft switching, and high quality/low noise buffers. It also has volume controls for all input signals.

Headrush has announced the Looperboard, a looping device that utilizes a quad-core DSP system with a 7-inch touch interface. It also offers “a generous set of audio input and outputs.”

Seymour Duncan has unveiled a new digital delay and reverb pedal called the Dark Sun. Developed with Periphery guitarist Mark Holcomb, the unit draws its sound from the Andromeda Dynamic Delay and the Silver Lake Dynamic Reverb pedals.

BecosFX has added to their CompIQ series with the CompIQ PRO Stella Compressor. Designed for bass and guitar, the pedal is described as “highly versatile… providing compression, limiting, and a twist of available harmonic distortion.”

Rockboard by Warwick has updated their lineup of pedalboards with the Rockboard DUO 2.0. The smallest of the series, the unit holds between 3 and 5 effects pedals.

Mastro Valvola has released a new version of their Area multi-reverb called the Area MkII. The new unit has the same features as the original with the addition of a Timed Bypass System, which the company designed to manage the reverb trails.
