“Rich Girl” is one of the all-time great tunes, largely thanks to Scotty Edwards’s epic bass line. Arielle Kasnetz joined Scary Pockets to do their version of the tune with the always funky Nick Campbell.

We can always count on Clive H Jones to send us cool videos. He sent us this all-bass cover of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” and it came together beautifully.

Rebecca Johnson dropped a new video from her band’s performance in April. Dig Rebecca’s tone on their version of Stephen Stills’s “Love the One You’re With.”

Drummer Yussef Dayes dropped the official video for the title track of his upcoming album, “Black Classical Music,” and it is incredible. The band includes Rocco Palladino on bass, Charlie Stacey on piano, Venna on saxophone, and Alexander Bourt on percussion.

Siân Pottok recently released this live studio video performance of an incredibly beautiful cover of The Beatles’ “Blackbird.” Hadrien Feraud arranged the tune for the group.

If you missed the special benefit concert Primus threw for Jimmy Hayward, you missed a special night of music. Here’s Les Claypool, Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor, and Troy Van Leeuwen performing Tool’s classic track “Ænima.”

Jaco Pastorius’s “Three Views of a Secret” is one of my all-time favorite compositions. In this video, guitarist Don Ross is joined by Michael Manring and The Atlantic String Machine to perform their own beautiful version.

Lenny Kravitz pays tribute to Harry Belafonte in this video he created following the news of Belafonte’s passing. Kravitz handles most of the instruments, including bass, on “How Long Have You Been Blind.”

Cory Wong dropped another live video this morning, and this one is killer. Sonny T is bringing it (as is the entire band) on this live performance of “Ketosis.”

Leonid Vorobyev and his friends are back, and this time they’re nailing a cover of Lighthouse’s “One Fine Morning.”

Jaz Moss sent us his latest video, which is an incredibly well-done, detailed look at the work of James Jamerson. Jaz said it took three months of research to produce this retrospective on the Motown legend.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from our friend, Pete O’Neill, but he’s back with a new video he shared with us. This bass arrangement of “Walk Above the City” by the Paper Kites and MARO is beautiful.
