Our good friend Magnus Sjöquist recently shared a new video with a tune he wrote for an upcoming EP. “Tranquility” was written specifically for his Kala Solid Body Ubass, and features Mikael Lindström on bassoon. The combo is fantastic.

No Treble reader Clive H Jones shared this video with us, featuring a remarkably beautiful solo bass composition of his, entitled “A Cold December”.

Wolfgang Van Halen’s long-awaited Mammoth WVH album is releasing in June. He just dropped a new video of one of the tracks, and it is impressive. The multi-instrumentalist made the video fun too.

Evan Marien x Dana Hawkins are back with a new music video for their song, “Kyoto”, which features Aaron Marshall from Intervals and Julian “J3PO” Pollack. I love how this duo has evolved, and the sounds they’re creating with this project.

David Pastorius shared this on Facebook the other day and it knocked me out. He and his band Local 518 recorded this rehearsal session, with the band tearing through the Tower of Power tune, “What Is Hip?”

We’ve featured some great videos of Janek Gwizdala using looper pedals before, but this is just next level. “Factor 1000” is a song built from the bass guitar and a plethora of pedals.
