The REO Brothers bring it in every video I’ve seen. This new one is no different. The brothers take on Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky”, with Ralph Otic on bass and backing vocals.

Our friend David Alfred sent in this great video of Czech bassist Tomáš Kedzior’s song “Alvarado,” which features the percussionist Ester Švábková and clarinetist Veronika Coganová. Starting with solo bass, the song continues to evolve.

No Treble reader Lukas Pamminger sent us the latest video he’s on, and we’re really digging the music. Check out the fantastic trio, DR!PTRiO, and their tune, “Krama”.

Federico Malaman is bringing it on his Youtube channel. Here’s a great lesson video he just shared, focusing on playing octaves in 16th notes in the style of Jaco Pastorius. He said this is how we “become Olympic champions of dance style bass lines!”

YYNOT is on the road for some long-awaited live shows, and they’re also gearing up to release a new album. They’re giving us a preview of what’s to come on “Light And Shade” with this first track, “Burning Bridge”.

Blackberry Smoke joined with members of Allman Betts band from their 2021 “Spirit Of The South” Tour and performed ZZ Top’s “Jesus Left Chicago” as a tribute to Dusty Hill, who passed away in July.

I love Charles Berthoud’s “Hardest Song In The World” series. In this one, he decided to turn AC/DC’s “Back in Black” into the hardest song ever. The solo is pretty epic.

Ever since Tech 21’s Dale Krevens sent us the video of 9-year-old bassist Ellen Alaverdyan playing along to “Tom Sawyer“, I’ve been seeing her show up in a lot of places. Here’s one that flat out grooves.
