Reader Spotlight: Erik Uhlen
Meet Erik Uhlen, our bassist in the spotlight for June 8, 2010.
Bio:
I’ve been playing for 23 years and have had the good luck to play with popular and working local acts over the years, whether they were original and/or cover bands. As of late, I have been involved with studio efforts, by two artists and am in the process of working out a deal to become an in-house session player at an established studio here in Montreal.

St. Bruno, Quebec, Canada
Day gig:
I currently do data entry from home.

I started at 17, which makes it 23 years

Why I play the bass:
Necessity. As the old story goes, I had played some guitar in my youth and was drafted to play bass for a high school talent show. It’s been all downhill from there…
