Siegmund Amplifiers Unveils the Big Boy 300 Watt Bass Amp

Siegmund Amplifiers Big Boy 300 Bass Amp

Tube amp fans have a new option to check out with the Siegmund Amplifiers Big Boy 300. The 300-watt bass amp is hand wired point-point and described as being simple in design and function to create “the purest and most musical bass tones.”

“The Big Boy has silky smooth big warm lively tube sound packing a powerful tight punch,” Siegmund writes. “The overdrive tone and crunch is rich with even-order musical harmonics.”

The amp features six KT120 power tubes in ultra-linear operation with external bias and balance controls for easily adjusting their output. Controls include Gain, a five-band EQ, and master volume. It has plenty of connectivity with a parallel effects loop, a preamp output, and a power amp input.

Each Big Boy 300 is handmade to order with options of tolex and grill combinations as well as with oil varnished custom solid wood cabinets. It’s available for order now with prices of $3,695 for the vinyl/tolex covered head and $4,095 for the solid wood cabinet.
