Nordstrand Audio Unveils the Big SplitMan Pickup

Nordstrand Audio Big Splitman Pickup

Nordstrand Audio has expanded their pickup line once again with a new creation called the Big SplitMan. It takes two of their Big Splits and puts them into the MM-style BigMan cover.

“In essence, this pickup is a quad-coil BigMan with a cutthroat vendetta against hum and a raw energy slightly superseding the BigMan’s iconic aggression,” Nordstrand writes. “Its composition is essentially two Big Splits under the same cover, which, tone-wise creates a kind of unsaturated sonic righteousness demonstrating its ability to ward off unwanted hum and perpetuate its manifold character throughout any practice room or venue.”

The Big SplitMan is designed, tested, and built in Nordstrand’s Redlands, California shop. It works as a drop-in replacement for four and five-string MM bass pickups and is built with Alnico V magnets and Laster cut vulcanized fiber bobbins.

The Nordstrand Audio Big SplitMan is available now with a street price starting at $131 per pickup.
