George Lacson shared a video with us, featuring him responding to a rainy evening in San Francisco with some solo blues bass. Or as George says, “sometimes you gotta thump n pluck your blues away…”

Any time a new Adam Ben Ezra video hits, I’m all ears. And Adam never disappoints. Check out this nice fretless work (and singing) from Adam, on his original tune “Tumbada”.

Filmed live at ?the Canadian Guitar Festival in Ontario last July, Michael Manring took the stage with his headless Zon bass and some slow blues. He eventually works up to a faster pace, leading him in to a rockin’ all-bass version of “Born to Be Wild”.

Bassist Ufo Walter sent this video in, featuring him playing the Jimi Hendrix classic “Machine Gun” using a looper and Pitch FX for the lead. Buckle up!

Pablo Motyczak, a bassist from Argentina who goes by the screen name “Motyx” blew us away with his take on Henry Mancini’s “Pink Panther” theme.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here’s a fun clip of Pierluigi Balducci playing his Irish-inspired composition “Tully More Song,” from his CD Niebla. Cheers!

I’ve officially spent way too much time watching videos by Guido Ponzini. As difficult as it was to pick a video to feature, this one has some nifty fretless bass work on one of Ponzini’s original compositions, “Chattin’ with Barbarella Bennett”.

Here’s bassist Aram Bedrosian, performing his solo bass tune “A Dark Light”. For those industrious types, Aram offers notation/tabs of this and other compositions of his on his website.

Dani Weber‘s solo bass work has been featured here before, and this is a nice piece we were recently checking out. Dani is playing his ’86 Warwick Thumb NT with piccolo strings tuned E – G# – B – E.

Bassist Junior Ribeiro Braguinha uses these words to describe his performance in this video: “de groove de pizzicato”. I say, “holy smokes!”
