In honor of Halloween, here’s bassist BumDog2112 (aka Shawn) performing The Munsters theme song the way we like it. Shawn says, “One of my favorite things to goof around with. Always gets a laugh out of anyone I play it for.” We dig it. Happy Halloween!

What a show this must have been! Here’s Israeli bassist Adam Ben Ezra performing his arrangements of “Black Orpheus” and “Besame Mucho” live at a Victor Wooten show in Tel Aviv in May, 2011. Bassists ruled the night, the way it should be!

Argentinian bassist Ezequiel Gimenez shared this video of him performing one of his solo bass compositions, in preparation of his upcoming solo EP. The tune is called “Play”. Have a video to share with us? Send it to [email protected].

Here’s a cool video for the title track to Randy Coven’s album NU School. Ironically, the tune is laden with classical elements and some pretty intense technique by the bassist, who has toured with Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and many more.

Slovakian bassist Juraj Griglak absolutely kills it in this clip for what appears to be a random passer-by in a Tokyo guitar shop. Check out Griglak’s serious case of bass face at 0:59.

Sam Dingle sent us some videos of bassist Matt Kniffen. We loved this one of Matt, performing an original solo bass piece, “Prima O Poi”. Sam said, “I really think that this kid in my town named Matt Kniffen needs to be [seen more]. His ‘band’, Soundscape. is just him (on 6 string bass guitar) and he programs the drums.”...

Once again, Fabio Meridiani caught our ears with this performance of “The Sync”, a cool and funky solo bass piece from Fabio’s album Subline 2.

Greek bassist Petros Klampanis proves for us again that all you need is bass. Utilizing his upright and a looper, Klampanis lays down a cool groove on his tune “Basscape,” written in 11/8 time.

Facebook friend César Romo Castro sent us this video of bassist Daniel Rey performing his original composition, “Palenque”. Daniel’s technique is truly remarkable – especially his right hand, which doesn’t look quite human. Have a video to share? Drop us a note at [email protected].
