Eastwood Unveils Its First Microtonal Bass with the Warren Ellis MT Bass Guitar

Warren Ellis Microtonal MT Bass Guitar

Microtonal rock music has had a sudden surge in popularity, and Eastwood Guitars has taken notice. They’ve unveiled the Warren Ellis Microtonal MT Bass Guitar, which marks their first-ever microtonal bass. It features a 27-fret microtonal fingerboard that unlocks notes beyond the standard 12-tone system.

“That means access to rich in-between intervals, deeper harmonic textures, and the ability to explore an entirely new sonic territory…. all while holding down the groove,” they write.

Eastwood builds the bass with a solid alder body, a maple bolt-on neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The pickup is a Warren Ellis Blade, which is controlled with Volume and Tone knobs. Similar to their original Warren Ellis bass model, it has a 30.5-inch scale. Other features include Kluson-style hardware and a fully adjustable vintage-style bridge.

The Eastwood Guitars Warren Ellis Microtonal MT Bass Guitar is offered in the company’s Guitstarter program, an in-house crowdfunding platform. It’s open to pre-order for $999.
