GHS Strings Reintroduces Tapewound Bass Strings

GHS Tapewound 4-String Bass SetAfter discontinuing the line in 2015, GHS Strings has reintroduced their Tapewound Bass strings. They’re designed to be dark and thumpy like a double bass, the company writes.

“Tapewound bass strings combine the thump and decay of an upright bass string while retaining the characteristics of an electric bass string,” GHS says. “Flatwound strings are wrapped with a black nylon cover, which gives the string an ultra-smooth feel with a delightfully deep, mellow tone.”

The GHS Tapewound Strings come in sets for four or five-string basses with prices of approximately $25 and $32, respectively.

GHS Strings Tapewound Bass Strings Features:

Flatwound Strings with Black Nylon Wrap
37.25″ Winding
Gauges: .050, .070, .090, .105, (.130)
