Aluminati Guitar Co. Introduces Andromeda Aluminum Bass Necks

Aluminati Guitar Co. Andromeda Aluminum Bass Necks

Aluminati Guitar Co. has expanded its line of aluminum instrument parts with a new set of bass necks. The Andromeda Aluminum Bass Necks are built with a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum and carbon fiber with a “familiar weight and feel.”

“Aluminati’s bass offering brings all of the sustain and tone associated with aluminum necks in a lightweight design,” the company writes. “Coming in at 2.5 lbs including tuners the Andromeda bass neck has a familiar weight and feel. Truss rods are unnecessary in aluminum necks, so along with the use of stainless fretwire Andromeda necks require no yearly adjustments/maintenance.”

The necks can be ordered in right or left-handed orientation in 11 different anodized colors. Other options include silver or black tuning keys and a unidirectional or “ultra-high Modulus weave” fretboard.

The Aluminati Guitar Co Andromeda series bass necks are available now with a street price of $999.

Nice, I guess.?. Don’t know much about how well aluminum works for a BG neck, but I do know 1K is a lot of $$ for a neck!

Something else to consider here: aluminum has high electrical conductivity, while wood doesn’t conduct electricity at all…!
I wouldn’t want to get ~zzzzapped~ by my bass!! ;>{(

They are $1200 on their website. Who sells them at the “street price” of $999?

Are these necks direct bolt onto a Fender bass? Will I have to drilland tap?
