1. Infectious Grooves, Featuring Robert Trujillo, Are Back in the Studio
Infectious Grooves has recorded new music and will go on tour with ex-Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg and Metallica’s (and a former Suicidal Tendencies) bassist Robert Trujillo.
2. Bass of the Week: Badstroke Guitars Sallos 4FF
Badstroke Guitars used the force to create this killer Sallos 4FF bass with an incredible full-body custom inlay of the Death Star from Star Wars, complete with a laser inlay that fires across the fingerboard. As if that's not enough, the entire display is glow-in-the-dark.
3. Warwick Unveils Limited Edition Masterbuilt and Teambuilt Basses for 2024
Each year, Warwick introduces two limited edition basses from their custom shop: one that’s Masterbuilt and one that’s Teambuilt. The German bass manufacturer chose to highlight the beauty of walnut on their Thumb model this year by introducing the Masterbuilt Thumb NT LTD 2024 and the Teambuilt Thumb BO LTD 2024.
4. Cort Announces the Artisan Space 5 Headless Bass
Cort Guitars has introduced the Artisan Space 5, a five-string bass that revives their headless line of instruments from the 1980s. The modernistic bass brings contemporary features and enhancements to the mix, of course.
5. Paz Lenchantin Leaves The Pixies, Replacement Announced
After a decade in the band, Paz Lenchantin has departed from The Pixies to focus on her own projects. The Pixies revealed Emma Richardson as their next bassist.
6. Bergantino Introduces the NXT410-C Bass Cabinet
Bergantino has once again expanded their NXT bass cab lineup with the NXT410-C, a 4×10 cab they designed with touring bassists in mind.
