Colin Greenwood Announces New Radiohead Book

Colin Greenwood: How to Disappear CompletelyColin Greenwood of Radiohead has announced a new book of photography documenting the band between 2003 and 2016. How to Disappear: A Portrait of Radiohead gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the highly influential band with candid photos from recording sessions, live performances, and just hanging out.

During the period of Greenwood’s photos, Radiohead released Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows, The King of Limbs, and A Moon Shaped Pool. Greenwood called them “our middle years: all the joy and doubt and confidence and uncertainty we would oscillate between.”

“For years now, I’ve been taking fugitive snaps of my band, Radiohead,”he explains. “I’ve tried to catch out my friends with my small black Yashica T4 Super. On stage and in the rehearsal studio, they are so lost in their own moment of performance that they don’t see me with the camera.”

The 136-page book has 97 photographs, most of which are previously unseen. It also has a 10,000-word essay by the author. A limited edition copy is signed by Greenwood and includes an exclusive 32-page booklet of “light show” photographs. It’s also housed in a slipcase.

Both editions are available for pre-order through Radiohead’s W.A.S.T.E. site for $32 and $82, respectively.
