New Film Honoring Mo Foster Coming Soon

British session legend Mo Foster died last year at the age of 78, leaving behind an incredible catalog of music. His life and legacy will live on through his music as well as a new documentary called Four Strings Good that is set to premiere at the Doc’N Roll Film Festival on October 26th.
The film centers around a tribute concert following his passing featuring performances from his closest friends and collaborators.
“The film features performances by a stellar lineup of musicians, including Ray Russell, Simon Phillips, Tony Hymas, Judie Tzuke, Deborah Bonham, Jimmy Helms, Kim Goody, Moon Williams, and Phil Hilborne,” a press release states. “Each of these artists came together to pay tribute to Foster’s profound impact on the music world, a figure revered for his unmatched versatility and deep contributions to the British and international music scenes… The event, now captured in ‘Four Strings Good,’ not only showcases incredible live performances but also features interviews and rare archival footage, painting an intimate portrait of Foster’s enduring legacy.”
Foster’s bass lines pinned together albums for artists including Phil Collins, Brian May, Cher, Jeff Beck, and Ringo Starr as well as the soundtracks for films like For Your Eyes Only and Revenge of the Pink Panther.
Four Strings Good will be shown October 26th at The Garden Cinema in London. For more info, check out the film festival’s website.
