Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled the Winter 2021 edition of their Ball Family Reserve instruments, including one bass: The BFR Stingray 5 Special Fretless.

Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled a new collection of instruments in their Artist Series in collaboration with Tim Commerford. He’s been a StingRay player for most of his career, and the line includes four variations of EBMM’s flagship bass.

Ernie Ball Music Man has teamed up with Darkglass Electronics to unveil the DarkRay 4-string Bass. Available in Obsidian Black and Granite Stone finishes, the bass takes the StingRay Special model and fits it with new electronics.

Ernie Ball Music Man has proven it gets funkier by adding to the Joe Dart Signature Bass collection. First is the original Joe Dart bass in an all-new black velvet finish to complement the original natural velvet. Second is the Joe Dart Jr.

While no new basses have been revealed so far, Ernie Ball Music Man has unveiled a plethora of dazzling new finishes for their basses. That includes the Music Man line as well as the entry-level Sterling by Music Man line.

AC/DC is back with a new album, complete with the classic lineup anchored by bassist Cliff Williams. Now, Ernie Ball Music Man is helping Williams celebrate with a limited-edition bass bearing his name.

MxPx frontman Mike Herrera has a new signature StingRay bass from Ernie Ball Music Man. The bassist has used a StingRay for over 20 years, and now the company says “Herrera’s secret weapon is available to the public.”

After unveiling a limited run of the instrument last year, Ernie Ball Music Man has brought back the Joe Dart Signature Bass. The instrument is based on a Classic Sterling lightweight ash body with a natural finish.

Ernie Ball Music Man revealed the latest in their monthly Ball Family Reserve series, including a Fretless StingRay. The bass comes in a Vintage Sierra Burst, but the most attention-grabbing aspect is its highly figured roasted maple neck and fingerboard.

After previewing it at the Winter NAMM Show earlier this year, Ernie Ball Music Man is now shipping the Short-Scale StingRay bass. It features the company’s flagship bass model in a 30-inch scale.
